Karlina Jordan, integrative therapist and coach

Hi, I’m Karlina

If you’ve landed here, there’s a good chance you’re someone who looks like they have it together on the outside — but internally feels anxious, overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or quietly disconnected from yourself.

You might be the person everyone relies on. The capable one. The thoughtful one. The one who keeps going. And yet, underneath that competence, life can feel surprisingly heavy.

I know that world well — and I want you to know that things can change.

I wasn’t always this calm

I grew up learning to read the room, stay alert and manage everyone else’s emotional weather — while quietly carrying far more than I realised.

On the outside I appeared calm, easy-going and capable. At the time, I didn’t have the language for what I was feeling. I just thought this was what life felt like.

Now I understand that many people who appear high-functioning are actually living in a chronic state of survival mode — constantly thinking, anticipating, managing and pushing through, while losing connection with themselves in the process.

My own career moved through several different worlds, including cognitive science, research, communications and marketing. But it wasn’t until I began training in counselling, after having my son, that something genuinely clicked into place. I’d found the work I was meant to do.

I went on to train as both an integrative therapist and a coach, because I believe insight alone is rarely enough. Real change also needs support, reflection, accountability, nervous-system safety and the courage to start showing up differently in your life.

Therapy helps us understand and heal the deeper roots of your struggles. Coaching helps us translate that insight into meaningful change in your day-to-day life. Together, they create a powerful combination.

I work with the patterns underneath

The people I work with are often incredibly self-aware already. You’ve read the books, listened to the podcasts and tried to “mindset” your way out of anxiety. What you usually need isn’t more information — it’s space to finally slow down and stop carrying everything alone.

That’s why I don’t work at surface level. Together, we gently explore the patterns underneath:

  • Why you overthink and struggle to rest
  • Why you feel guilty putting yourself first
  • Why relationships can feel so difficult
  • Why you keep pushing past your own limits

This work can be deep, but it doesn’t have to feel clinical or cold. Sessions are human — sometimes emotional, sometimes reflective, sometimes surprisingly funny. I bring warmth, honesty and genuine care, while also helping you gently challenge the patterns, assumptions and fears that keep you stuck.

Healing isn’t just about understanding your past

It’s about creating a different relationship with yourself in the present. If something here resonates, I’d love to talk — with no pressure and no obligation.

You don’t need to be in crisis to deserve support

I commonly work with thoughtful, capable people who appear calm on the outside while carrying anxiety, overwhelm or emotional exhaustion underneath. You might recognise yourself here.

High-functioning anxiety, overthinking and burnout
The impact of childhood adversity or emotionally absent parents
Healing from narcissistic or enmeshed relationship dynamics
People-pleasing and feeling responsible for everyone
Neurodivergent and ADHD-related overwhelm
Driven, entrepreneurial minds that rarely switch off

Warm, honest and genuinely human

These are the qualities I bring into every conversation we have together.

Warmth & Care

You’ll be met with genuine warmth and respect, exactly as you are. Many clients say they feel deeply understood in our work together — sometimes for the first time in a long while.

Real Depth

I don’t work at surface level. Together we look at the patterns underneath the symptoms — gently untangling them so life can begin to feel lighter and more manageable.

Honesty & Safety

I’ll bring honesty into the room and help you feel safe enough to open up at your own pace — while gently challenging the fear and perfectionism that keep you stuck.

Working with Karlina helped me understand the deeper feelings and beliefs that were holding me back in both my confidence and career. From the very beginning I felt completely comfortable opening up to her. I feel incredibly lucky to have found her.
